This past weekend the boys and girls  cross -country  teams  traveled to Casa Grande Arizona and competed in one of the most competitive cross country competitions in the country.  The race was the Nike Desert Twilight Festival and there were over 200 teams/5000+ runners from 10 different states.  

The boys team was ranked about 40th and raced very well and finished 26th in the varsity boys race.  Everyone ran season best or lifetime best times in this race.

The girls team was accepted/invited into the championship race which was a step up from varsity race and were ranked around 10th.  They showed up with the goal to prove the rankings wrong and finish in the top 5...They ended up racing so well that they came home with a victory!
